Q. When does the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge take place?

A. 15th May 2022.


Q. How/when can I register?

A. Online registration for our 2022 Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge will open in January.


Q. How much does it cost?

A. Cost per adult: £32, Cost per child: £12.


Q. I missed out on a place, do you have a reserve list?

A. Yes, if you would like to be added to the reserve list, please email: your name, address and telephone number to [email protected]


Q. I have booked my place on the event, but I missed out on transport, do you have a reserve list?

A. If you were unable to select one of our coach ticket options due to places being full, but would like to be added to our reserve list, please email your: full name, contact number, AM or PM coach, number of seats required, to: [email protected]


Q. I have booked transport but no longer require this/would like to make an amendment, what should I do?

A. If you have requested transport from West Bay to Watchet, but find that your circumstances change, please advise us as soon as possible to enable us to reallocate by emailing: [email protected]


Q. What time will the challenge start?

A. The 55-mile challenge will start at Watchet Harbour at 11.00am.

The 11-mile challenge will start at Drimpton at 2.00pm.


Q. What time will the course close?

A. The challenge and course closes at 5.00pm.


Q. What are the times for the transport?

A. AM Coach from West Bay to Watchet leaves at 7.30am

A. PM Coach from West Bay to Watchet leaves at 5.00pm

There will be no alternative transport provided if you miss the coach.


Q. My friend/family member is unable to cycle but has a place; can I cycle using their entry?

A. Yes, any transfers to a named person must be made by the date specified in the event terms and conditions. No transfers will be made after this date.


Q. I am ill/injured or unable to cycle, what should I do?

A. Contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss your circumstances and offer you appropriate advice.


Q. Can I change my start location to be with my friend/partner?

A. Yes, if you wish to swap your start location from Watchet to Drimpton or vice versa, amendments must be made by the date specified in the event terms and conditions. No transfers will be made after this date. Please note if you have booked transport, we cannot guarantee that there will be places available for you transfer to.


Q. How will I receive my registration pack and what do I need to bring with me?

A. It's important to make sure that you bring your registration pack with you on the day of the event. Your pack includes a start token which you will need to check in at the start of the day. This will be posted to you prior to the event.

If you have booked Coach/Bike transport from West Bay to Watchet, you will need to register at West Bay. All other participants will need to register at Watchet.

It is recommended that water, energy or snack bars, mobile phone and a small amount of money are carried.


Q. What will happen if I don’t get to registration on time?

A. Participants must register at Watchet Harbour from 9.00am, prior to commencing the challenge at the start time.

Participants who have booked transport from West Bay to Watchet should ensure that they register at 7.00am and are at the designated pick up point at the time advised. 

DSAA will not take responsibility for late arrivals. Participants using this transport also use the provided bicycle transport at their own risk.


Q. Can my bag/personal belongings be transported to West Bay?

A. No, we have no way of transporting cyclists’ personal belongings.


Q. Will refreshments and toilets be available?

A. Refreshments and toilets will be available for cyclists at the designated pit stops along the route.


Q. Where can I/friends/relatives park?

A. Please ensure that any car being parked on the day of the challenge is parked legally and the relevant charge has been paid where applicable. Please ensure that you do not block driveways or access.

Q. Do I have to wear a cycle helmet?

A. All participants MUST wear a cycle helmet.

Q. Do I need to raise sponsorship to take part?

A. No, however, as this is a fundraising event, we strongly encourage all participants to raise a minimum of £50 to help us continue to be there for patients when they need us the most.


Q. What is the deadline for sponsorship?

A. All sponsorship money should be paid/forwarded to DSAA by 4th December 2022.


Q. How/where can I meet up with friends/relatives after the event?

A. It is participants responsibility to agree/decide a suitable place to meet at the end of the challenge. A good place to meet is close to the finish.
