Every year, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is called to thousands of life-threatening emergencies across the region — bringing specialist critical care directly to patients when every second counts. Around one third of our missions are in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, responding to people who are critically ill or seriously injured at roadsides, homes, workplaces and remote locations. Our crew bring the hospital to the patient, delivering advanced treatments normally only available in an emergency department. But we can only keep flying because of the generosity of people like you. It costs around £10 million every year to keep our life-saving service operational, and we receive no direct government funding. Every mission we attend is funded by supporters in our local communities. Your donation today helps ensure our specialist crew can continue responding by helicopter, critical care car and our outreach cars, bringing urgent medical care to those who need it most. Every donation makes a difference.Every mission depends on you. Thank you for helping us save lives.
