Helicopter Naming Competition Terms and Conditions 1.PromoterThe promoter of this competition is Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA). 2. Eligibility2.1 Competition entries are not limited to residents of the United Kingdom.2.2 Entrants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to enter. By submitting an entry, entrants confirm that such consent has been obtained. DSAA reserves the right to request proof of age and/or parental consent. 3. How to Enter3.1 Entries can be submitted: 3.1.1 Online: www.dsairambulance.org.uk/forms/help-name-our-new-helicopter 3.1.2. By post: Addressed to: Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Naming Competition, Landacre House, Castle Road, Chelston Business Park, Wellington, TA21 9JQ. 3.1.3. In person: At selected events organised or attended by DSAA during the competition entry period. 3.2 DSAA accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, or not received due to technical or other issues. 4. Entry Requirements 4.1. Suggested names must be appropriate, respectful and suitable for public use. 4.2. Entrant details should at least include first and last name, and email address. 4.3. Suggested names should be supported by reasons why the name was selected. 4.4. DSAA reserves the right to disqualify entries that are inappropriate, offensive, or do not comply with these Terms & Conditions. 4.5. Only one entry per person will be counted. Where multiple entries are submitted, DSAA reserves the right to select one entry at its discretion. 5. Dates 5.1 Competition will launch on 09:00 (BST) on Tuesday 30th June 2026. 5.2 Entries must be received by 23:59 (BST) on Tuesday 25th August 2026 at which point the competition will close. 5.3 Late or incomplete entries will not be considered. 6. Judging and Selection 6.1. All eligible entries will be reviewed and shortlisted by a DSAA panel. 6.2. A judging panel will meet on a date to be confirmed to review the shortlisted entries, vote and select the final name. The judging panel’s decision is final. 6.3. DSAA reserves the right not to select a winner if no suitable entries are received. 7. Prize 7.1. The winner will receive a photograph opportunity with the helicopter, a behind-the-scenes airbase tour, and an invitation to the name unveiling event (date and location to be confirmed). 7.2. No cash alternative is available. 7.3. The prize is not transferable. 8. Publicity 8.1. By entering, entrants agree that, if selected as a winner or finalist, their name, entered aircraft name, and images may be used by DSAA for publicity, marketing and fundraising purposes. 8.2. This may include (but is not limited to) use in press releases, social media, website content, printed materials, and promotional campaigns. 8.3. For entrants under 18, publicity participation is subject to the consent (see 8.5) of a parent or legal guardian. 8.4. DSAA is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals. Any involvement of under-18s in publicity or events will require appropriate supervision and parental/guardian consent. 8.5. DSAA will seek appropriate consent for photography and filming in line with its internal policies. 9. Intellectual Property 9.1 By entering, participants grant DSAA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, and publish their submitted name for operational, promotional, marketing, and fundraising purposes. 9.2 The selected name will be subject to final approval by DSAA and may be amended where necessary to meet operational, regulatory or branding requirements. 10. Data Protection 10.1. By registering, participants consent to DSAA collecting and processing personal data to: Administer the event Ensure participant safety Meet legal and regulatory obligations 10.2. Personal data will be processed in accordance with: UK GDPR Data Protection Act 2018 10.3. Data may be shared with third parties where necessary for event delivery or legal compliance. 10.4. General 11.1. By entering the competition participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. 11.2 DSAA reserves the right to amend, suspend, withdraw, or update the competition and/or these Terms & Conditions at any time if necessary.
