On Friday 20th June, we marked our 25th anniversary with a spectacular event at the iconic Fleet Air Arm Museum. We were joined by volunteers, former patients, crew members, and supporters to honour 25 years of saving lives across Dorset and Somerset. Phil Hyde, Medical Director, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Tamsyn Berry, Past Patient Fleet Air Arm Museum The evening featured a screening of our specially produced video, highlighting the exceptional work of our critical care team and speeches that celebrated the powerful impact of community support and clinical excellence over the years. DSAA's CEO, Charles Hackett said: “The 25th birthday gathering was a powerful reminder of what Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has become over the past 25 years. It was a celebration not just of our service, but of the extraordinary community that has stood with us – our donors, patients, volunteers, supporters, team members and partners. Every mission we fly is made possible by their generosity, commitment, and belief in what we do. As we look to a future in which we strive to reach all the patients who need us, we do so with deep gratitude and renewed determination. Together, we’ve saved thousands of lives. With continued your support, we’ll be ready for the next 25 years, to be there when we are needed most.” It’s true, every mission is funded by people like you. Whether you've contributed to one of our collection tins, been a fundraiser, shared your story, or donated your time – the support of our community is what keeps us flying, and saving lives. As we look to the future, we are committed to delivering critical care to those who need it most, when they need it most. And with you by our side, we know the next 25 years will be just as extraordinary. Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next chapter!
