Every mission carried out by DSAA is made possible through the dedication of people like the Ballistic Bikers, who go the extra mile - literally - to raise vital funds for our charity. With each mission costing around £3,500 and no direct government funding, support like this from our community is absolutely essential.

Thanks to their amazing efforts and the generosity of their supporters, the boys have raised nearly £4,000 for DSAA. That’s enough to fund a full mission and then some!

We caught up with The Ballistic Bikers to see how it went:

Hambo

“I loved the cycle, but it was quite tough. The hardest part was coming out of Cornwall, but it was also the prettiest bit of the route. Being with my friends made it really fun and I’m so pleased we’ve raised so much money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance”

Louis

“I found the bike ride really exhilarating, especially the really long downhill. I loved spending 3 days with my friends practicing peloton together on the straight bits. I can’t believe how much money we’ve raised for the Air Ambulance - imagine how much we’ll be able to raise when we cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats!!"

Freddie

“I absolutely loved the ride as it was amazing to spend three solid days with some great pals. Doing a challenge like this with friends really helps through the tough times. I started the ride as a beginner biker and feel that I have improved a lot now. I hope the money raised will be useful for the Air Ambulance and I am glad we didn't have to use them on our ride. Someone has mentioned Lands End to John O'Groats...

I will need at least two weeks rest after this ride before we try this.”

Ed

"My Dad’s friend was cycling near Sherborne and was hit by a car. He was very very badly injured. The Air Ambulance saved him and flew him to Southampton hospital. Tim is amazing and now cycles again.

It was really amazing to cycle in this EPIC challenge with my friends and hopefully raise enough money to save someone else. DSAA we love you!!!"

Word on the street is that the boys are already planning their next challenge, with talk of a cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats. These amazing fundraisers are unstoppable!

Thank you to Hambo, Louis, Freddie, Ed, and their wonderful support team for taking on this incredible challenge in aid of our charity.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
