The event

Let’s set the scene. It’s 6pm on the 10th of July 2025; the sun is shining, but not for long. Today is the day Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance are handed the keys to Shepton Mallet Prison. This is the world’s oldest prison; its grounds seeped in centuries of suffering , a place where the walls hold the secrets of the country’s most notorious criminals. Dating back to the 1600’s, this place once homed the infamous Kray Twins, along with murderers, war criminals and condemned souls who never found their way home.

Tonight, our unlucky participants will hear the creak of the iron gates as they close behind them. Their crimes, although fictitious, see them convicted to a night behind bars; the terms of their sentence include tough chores, chilling ghost tours, and challenging escape rooms - plus the eerie chance of sharing a cell with a surprise companion.

Prisoners will have just 24 hours, starting 12pm on the day of the event, to raise £800 bail. But after the chores are done and the only company is a chilling silence, will they last the night?
