Our Impact News DSAA announced as AFC Bournemouth charity partner for next two seasons We are extremely excited to announce that DSAA has been chosen as one of AFC Bournemouth’s charity partners for the next two seasons, alongside Bournemouth Heart Club. Two local charities were selected after being nominated and then voted for, by key areas of the club - Supporters, Junior Cherries, The Net and AFC Bournemouth Staff. Over the course of the next two seasons, DSAA will work closely with AFC Bournemouth to raise awareness of our work within the local community through one-off events, charity partner activations and much more. In the last four years DSAA has responded to 3,766 missions in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area alone, accounting for over half of all calls across Dorset. Partnering with a trusted organisation like AFC Bournemouth will improve community engagement, deliver a step change in awareness of our charity and support us in saving more lives. Charles Hackett, CEO of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance said: “Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is thrilled to have been chosen as one of AFC Bournemouth’s charity partners. We know the strength of applications will have been high, so we are honoured to be selected. This wonderful partnership over the next two years is a great opportunity for us. With AFC Bournemouth’s support, we can engage more deeply with the community we serve, highlight how busy we are in Bournemouth and the surrounding area, and explain that we are charity funded and depend on the support of organisations and individuals in order to be able to save lives. On behalf of our whole team, thank you for this exciting opportunity” Head of EDI & Engagement, Hannah Powis said: “Over the years, our Charity Partnerships have continued to go from strength to strength and enable us to support and highlight the wonderful work being done by organisations in the area to support our local communities. “We are delighted that we will be working two exemplary charities in Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Bournemouth Heart Club over the next two seasons and looking forward to raising more awareness of their work.” We are incredibly grateful to the Supporters and Junior Cherries for choosing DSAA as AFC Bournemouth Charity Partner for the 2025/26 and 2026 Season – we look forward to this exciting opportunity to raise awareness for our life-saving service.
