Our Impact News Huge success for DSAA's 5K Twilight Shift 2025 What an incredible evening! On Saturday 5th July, our 5K Twilight Shift took place at Henstridge Airfield, and wow, did our supporters show up! This year’s Twilight Shift was extra special as we celebrated 25 years of saving lives. The energy was amazing as participants set off to the sound of cheers and music, while our crew clocked on for their real-life twilight shift, continuing their life-saving work into the night. DSAA's mascot, Dasher, enjoying the route! Participants nearing the finish line. DSAA Volunteers looking after the stall. The 5K Twilight Shift: a charity run like no other Families, friends, colleagues and solo challengers all came together to walk, jog or run the 5K route around our airbase. Many participants took on the 5K for personal reasons, in memory of loved ones, or even as a personal challenge for a good cause. DSAA’s Critical Care Doctor, Ian Mew, even took to the track dressed as our mascot, Dasher! Alana Hardy, DSAA's Events Officer said: “This year’s 5K Twilight Shift felt truly special, it was amazing to see so many people coming together, not just to raise funds, but to be part of something meaningful in our 25th Anniversary year. From first timers to seasoned fundraisers, everyone played a part in making it an evening to remember, and we are so grateful to all those who joined us.” Thank you from all at DSAA! Whether you signed up, donated, volunteered, or cheered someone on, you played a part in making this event so special. Huge thanks also go to our event partners and supporters, including Henstridge Airfield Clubhouse Cafe, HK Law, Events Crew, Life Support CPR and Docbike.
