Welcoming Josie Dear, our new Supporter Engagement Officer for Dorset

We’re thrilled to welcome Josie Dear to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance team as our new Supporter Engagement Officer, covering Dorset.

Josie joins us from the RNLI, where she spent over three years supporting fundraising and engagement volunteers across the UK. Now, she’s excited to bring her skills and passion to a more local level, working closely with our wonderful supporters and volunteers throughout Dorset.

Josie says:

“I have been working in the charity sector for just over three years, supporting fundraising and engagement volunteers at the RNLI on a national scale. I am also a volunteer myself, in my spare time working in museum archives, as I have a background in historical research.

I am really looking forward to getting stuck in with this fantastic, and incredibly significant cause, and to be able to support raising vital funds and awareness in the Dorset region. Having witnessed the remarkable work of lifesaving charities, I feel privileged to become a part of the DSAA.

Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming, and I look forward to meeting more of you soon.”

Please join us in giving Josie a very warm welcome to the team. If you see her out and about in Dorset don't be afraid to say hello! We’re excited to see the incredible impact she’ll make in the Dorset community.
