Kate Wilson joined us on 19th May as our Community Fundraising Manager. Her extensive background in fundraising makes her a fantastic addition to the team.

Here's what Kate had to say about her first few weeks with DSAA, and why she decided to join us:

“Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome! I still have a lot to learn and many more people to meet, which I’m very much looking forward to. I’m particularly connected to life-saving charities, after my partner Oly was lifted from the Bristol Channel by the Coast Guard, after getting caught in a rip whilst surfing and spending much of the night in the channel."

What's next?

Kate tells us her plans for the future at DSAA...

"After 6+ years as Community Fundraising Manager at Somerset Wildlife Trust, I’m super excited to develop the income streams for DSAA, ensuring our volunteers and wider supporters feel part of the charity, and helping to get the DSAA messages further out across Dorset and Somerset.”

Welcome to Kate, we are so excited to have you on board!
